Kidney diseases shatter the life of patients and their families. The patient faces a slow painful life with very expensive life supporting medical systems and becomes dependent on others. The families of patients face bankruptcy due to enormous medical expenses, loss of job of the patient and loss of earning potential of spouse or supporting family member.
Many families in Kerala face terrible situation of a member falling ill as kidney patient. Many families and patients even commit suicide.
Medical insurance in our Kerala has not been given much importance so far. Many organisations have not yet started providing medical insurance cover for their employees. We must explore various supporting systems to help patients in need.
I want every visitor of this blog to contribute their mite by way of useful information or inspiring statements or any other means so that we can join hands to help these miserable human beings afflicted with kidney diseases.
